大会名のL’echappee Belle とは、華麗なる脱出という意味だそうです。
コースは144km／10900m　　　ほとんどのトレイルが岩稜地帯／標高2000mオーバー。 　
500人しか参加できず、そこからゴールに戻って来れるランナーは50%以下。
